Todd Pagel is currently a Coast Guard Reservist, where he is serving as the Engineering Officer for Port Security Unit 301 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, a part of the Coast Guard's Deployable Specialized Forces. Todd has served as a reservist for 13 years, seven of them as a boatswain mate in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, where he served as a boat crew and boarding team member, where he conducted law enforcement boardings and search and rescue cases.
Todd was commissioned as an officer in 2018. His first tour was as an Intelligence Officer at Coast Guard Sector New York. During his four years at Sector New York, he was activated multiple times for national emergencies and to serve as both the Deputy and Chief of Intelligence. He also served as the Coast Guard Liaison to the FBI Cyber Task Force.
In his civilian capacity, Todd has been a social studies teacher in Edison, New Jersey, for 18 years.
Todd holds a B.A. in History from Quinnipiac University, an M.A. in Education from Quinnipiac, and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Seton Hall University. He is currently pursuing his Joint Professional Military Education degree from the Naval War College.
